Let's take it back to over 25 years ago when Fringes of Plymouth was just the idea of one man. With little more than just a whipping machine to his name, Tony took on a unit at Enterprise Plymouth and started a small carpet binding company.
As Fringes of Plymouth steadily grew larger, expansion was only logical. Therefore Fringes moved into Faraday Mill. As business thrived Tony took on a small stock of rugs which got gradually larger and larger.
The rug stocks eventually became too substantial for the premises at Faraday Mill and a move was once again on the cards. This time, to our current location on Boringdon Mill Industrial Estate sharing a building with Simply Carpets. With 1500+ rugs spanning over two floors and a very popular carpet binding service, Fringes of Plymouth has certainly earned a place on the map.
But it doesn't end there. In 2013, Tony made the decision to take on Simply Carpets.
Who would have thought it? From a small carpet binding service in a very small unit, to where we are today? It's certainly an impressive feat.
